Do you have any fears? Of course you do, I do, we ALL do. There may be some "super spiritual" people who will quote that "God hasn't given me a spirit of fear", but trust me, they do. No matter how spiritual a person is, there's something that they are afraid of. There are rational fears and irrational fears. Of course, any fear that we are experiencing, we consider it a rational fear. A rational fear could be getting bitten by a dog, skydiving, or being attacked by a shark. An irrational fear could be thinking zombies are going to attack. No matter if it's rational or irrational, fear is fear.
Well, I have several fears, but the one that's happening presently is the fear of mice. Some may feel that it's an irrational fear because mice are afraid of people. I don't care, but I don't want to see or hear them. Since the weather has changed, these creatures feel they have a right to invade my home. I prayed and told God that I know He created them, but I don't want to see them in my house. Although I have a fear of them, I don't avoid their existence. I do the things needed to try to get them killed or prevent them from entering in the first place. Now, I'm to the point of getting the "Orkin Man" to help.
This relates to us spiritually. A lot of times we have fears, trials, temptations that comes into our "house" or into us. We truly don't want to see them and do try to avoid them. We pray and ask God to help. He tells us we have to face whatever we are facing - so we can't avoid them. Next, He may lead us to do things to "kill it" or prevent it from happening in the first place. If we do what He says, we may have less of an "invasion" of sorts. However, in order to truly prevent a resurgence of the issue, we need to allow God, "the Orkin Man" to show us what we need to do EXACTLY in order to prevent the issue in the first place.
If you have any fears or "invaders" that's coming into your "house", why not go straight to God and let Him show you what you need to do to prevent it or kill it. He knows how to handle your fears whether rational or irrational. Have a blessed week!
